Dr. Ariail Schmitz joined Dothan Medical Associates, P.C. August 12, 2024. Dr. Schmitz received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in August 2014 at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dothan, Alabama.

She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Southeast Health, Dothan, Alabama July 2018 through July 2022 and served as Chief of Residents July 2021 through June 2022. Her Fellowship in Rheumatology was completed at University of Central Florida, HCA Healthcare in Orlando, Florida, from July 2022 through June 2024.

Her accomplishments include several honors and awards to include the Internal Medicine Clerkship Award, the Gold Humanism Honor, and the Touch Point Award.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Schmitz, her husband, Douglas Schmitz, Jr., and son, Douglas Schmitz, III to Dothan Medical Associates, P.C.

Dr. Schmitz is currently Board Eligible and will be sitting for her Board Certification, November 2024.
